Kayla Estenson Williams, MA, LMFT, PMH-C, CCTP
Therapist + Founder + Supervisor
(she/her/hers)
Our earliest relationships shape how we see ourselves and connect with others. When these bonds feel unsafe, it can leave lasting wounds. In our work together, we’ll create a safe space for you to explore your story, tend to wounded parts of yourself, and connect to your Authentic Self.
I am especially passionate about individuals and couples as they are deciding whether or not to grow their family, as well as navigate the complexities of fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood. These tender seasons of life tend to bring up our own attachment stories and wounds- together, we can help you sit with these life transitions in a way that brings healing and growth to you and your family.
I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. In my work, I ensure that we hold space for and value all of the different parts of you.
My goal as a therapist is to support you in connecting to your authentic self, feel aligned with your inherent self-worth, and feel confident as you work towards the goals that are important to you.

Value-driven work
I know how complicated and intense the attachment work during these tender seasons of growing your family can be. In my work, I hold strong values around authenticity, compassion, acceptance.
I believe the therapeutic relationship plays an essential role in healing, and make sure to hold space for the true you in our work together.
Healing happens in safe, trusting relationships
You don’t have to carry everything alone. Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to perform or get it “right” You get to be real here- messy, unsure, and still deeply worthy of care. Together, we’ll create a relationship rooted in safety and trust so that your nervous system can finally soften- and healing can begin.
Your story deserves to be held with compassion
Whether you’re navigating fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, or parenting- this season can stir up so much. I hold space for the layers: your past experiences, your grief, your love, your overwhelm, and your desire to do things differently. You deserve a therapist who honors your story with tenderness, not judgment.
Your wholeness is already within you- we’re just making room for it
You’re not broken. You’ve been doing your best with the tools you’ve had. In our work together, we’ll explore patterns and beliefs that may have once protected you but are now holding you back- especially the pressure to do everything perfectly. This work is about reconnecting with your inner wisdom, building self-trust, and finding balance- so you can care for yourself as deeply as you care for others.
I see acceptance and equality as a necessary component to therapy. I strive to be LGBTQIA+ affirming, body accepting, sex positive, anti-racist, and culturally competent in my personal life and professional work.

My therapeutic style
In therapy, I offer a warm, steady presence and a space where all parts of you are welcome. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy, as well as somatic and mindfulness-based approaches to help you gently explore the deeper layers of your experience. That means we might get curious about the stories you’ve carried, the protective parts that try to keep everything in control, and the places in your body that hold unspoken emotions. I believe healing happens not by forcing change, but by creating enough safety and compassion that change can naturally unfold. Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels supportive and attuned- helping you reconnect with your authentic self, inner grounding, and wisdom.
More on My Specialties
-
Attachment and trauma work is at the heart of what I do. Many of the struggles we face in adulthood- especially around perfectionism, emotional overwhelm, or feeling “not enough”- can be traced back to early experiences in our relationships. These patterns aren’t your fault; they were ways you learned to stay safe, stay connected, or manage the unpredictable.
In therapy, we gently explore these old wounds and the protective parts of you that have been carrying so much. Through a trauma-informed and attachment-focused approach, we work toward creating a felt sense of safety in your body and in your relationships. This isn’t about rehashing the past- it’s about reclaiming your ability to trust, to rest, and to related in ways that feel nourishing and real.
-
Struggling. to grow your family can feel like an invisible grief- one filled with waiting, uncertainty, and a quiet ache that’s hard to put into words. You may be caught in cycles of hope and heartbreak, and feeling isolated from others who just don’t understand. In our work together, we’ll gently explore what this experience is bringing up for you- not just emotionally, but relationally and somatically.
Often, fertility struggles can stir up deeper questions about self-worth, control, and what it means to be cared for. Through an attachment lens, we’ll create space for the parts of you that feel anxious, ashamed, or left behind- and begin building a sense of safety and trust within yourself, no matter what comes next.
-
Pregnancy and the postpartum period are full of transformation- but not always in the ways you expected. You might feel overwhelmed by emotions you didn’t’ anticipate, disconnected from your body or identity, or haunted by fear that you’re not “doing it right”. These seasons can awaken old wounds- especially around your own experiences in childhood- and that can feel confusing or even shameful.
In our work, we’ll slow down and listen to what’s coming up with compassion and curiosity. We’ll explore how attachment patterns are showing up in this new role and support you in developing a more grounded, nurturing relationship with both yourself and your baby.
-
Parenting often brings you face-to-face with the parts of yourself you thought you’d left behind- perfectionism, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm. You’re trying so hard to do it differently, to break generational cycles, and to show up with presence and care… but sometimes it feels like you’re coming up short.
Therapy can be a space to pause and tend to you- not just the parent, but the person underneath. With an attachment-focused approach, we’ll explore how your early relationships shaped your sense of self and how these patterns might be resurfacing now. Together, we’ll work toward a more compassionate inner dialogue, greater emotional regulation, and deeper connection in your relationships- starting with the one you have with yourself.
-
While my primary focus is individual therapy, I also welcome partners into sessions when it feels supportive. Sometimes, having both people in the room allows us to work through communication challenges, repairing emotional disconnects, or navigating the shifting dynamics that come with preparing for or adjusting to parenthood.
These conversations can be powerful opportunities to build understanding, foster deeper connection, and support both of you in feeling seen and supported during this tender season. Whether we’re exploring individual needs or shared experiences, the goal is always to create space that honors emotional safety, growth, and healing.
